Kinetics Lite
Software for basic kinetic analysis of TGA/DSC measurements for chemical processes using both model-free and single-step model-based kinetic methods. Prediction of process behavior for isothermal or constant heating conditions.
What Is Kinetics Lite
Kinetics Lite is the basic version of software for analysis of rate of chemical reaction depending on the temperature. Simple examples of such reactions are decomposition, storage of thermally instable materials, chemical aging, curing above glass transition temperature.
Data for analysis are measurements carried out on NETZSCH thermal analysis instruments. The software can analyze experimental data of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) or Thermogravimetry (TG) which are transferred from Proteus Analysis to Kinetics Lite by one click. For each analysis method Kinetics Lite provides simulated fit and R² for its quality. Results of kinetic analysis can be used for isothermal predictions at user-defined temperatures or for user-defined heating rates.

Curing of epoxy resin: experimental DSC points and simulated curves according to model-free (isoconversional) Friedman analysis with fit quality R²=0.999

Kinetics Lite contains well-known model-free analysis methods such as single-point isoconversional methods (ASTM E698, ASTM E2890, ASTM E1641) and multi-points isoconversional methods (Friedman, Ozawa-Flynn-Wall and Vyazovkin).
Curing of epoxy resin: Model-free Friedman plot with experimental DSC points and isoconversional lines for selected conversion levels
Curing of epoxy resin: Activation energy with error bars as the function of conversion for model-free Friedman method.

Kinetics Lite contains model-based methods for single-step reactions of mostly used reaction types based on Arrhenius law, such as reactions of n-th order, autocatalytical and nucleation reactions.
Decomposition of Ca(OH)2: experimental TGA points and simulated curves according to n-th order kinetic model with fit quality R²=0.999
Both model-free and single-step model-based results of kinetic analysis can be used for predictions at isothermal or constant heating conditions.

Kinetics Lite and Proteus Software
Kinetics Lite is tightly connected to NETZSCH Proteus software. You can use Proteus® Analysis software to:
- select the measurement data,
- adjust the data range for the evaluation,
- apply base line and smoothing if necessary.
After that you can in just one click transfer these data from Proteus to Kinetics Lite software.
Kinetics Lite can be purchased only as paid option for NETZSCH Proteus® Analysis software together with NETZSCH DSC, TGA or STA instruments. Kinetics Lite can't be used without Proteus software.
If you want to use NETZSCH kinetics software without NETZSCH instruments, or need deeper kinetic analysis, more predictions and powerful optimizations, then consider purchasing more powerful Kinetics Neo software.
System Requirements
System Requirements for the NETZSCH Kinetics Lite software are similar to requirements for NETZSCH Proteus software.
